Fisher-Price Imaginext Bigfoot The Monster Toy – Hot Toy for
Christmas 2010
The Bigfoot the Monster toy is set to be a hit with kids this Christmas. You could say
it is going to be a hot toy this Christmas 2010 but do you ever wonder how or why certain toys become winner and
others don't take off ?
I think a large part of it is marketing and also the company behind the toy. These two kind of go hand in hand
as an established and reputable company are likely to be well organized and be about to promote and market their
product. As they are reputable, they will also probably product a quality product.

More on the Fisher-Price Imaginext Bigfoot The Monster Toy
In the case of the Fisher-Price Imaginext Bigfoot the Monster toy, it is made by
Fisher-Price and is part of their Imaginext range of toys. This is a pretty good brand that make all sorts of toys.
Fisher-Price seem to specialize in educational toys and toys for young children to learn basic motor and sensory
skills. Imaginext seems to be their division for creating more fantasy based, creative items. These toys encourage
imagination and creativity in children and help them to stretch their imaginations.
The Bigfoot monster toy is a bit like this. I wouldn't say it is educational, unless
you want to teach your kids about the mysterious and elusive Bigfoot or Sasquatch creature that is though to roam
various forests in the north American continent (and is also related to the abominable snowman that is thought to
live in Asia).
No, other than that, the toy is basically just for amusement and entertainment purposes. I don't think it will
even spark much imagination to be honest. It's a bit like a pet really or a little performing buddy for your
children.
No two ways about it, they will have a blast watching old Bigfoot go through his routine. And they will enjoy it
even more knowing that they can control the behavior through the remote control device.
And the toy can do lots of things. He has 5 or 6 different modes that set his moods. He can be angry or sad. He
can play with a ball and sleep like a baby. You can even tickle him or feed him some food. Kids will love this
aspect of control and interactivity about the toy.
They will also love his bad habits and his general grumpiness at times. They will be fascinated by his face that
can express rage, happiness and snoring by raising eyebrows, goggling his eyes and moving his mouth.
So the toy is a fun item for Christmas and onwards but I wonder how long it will hold a child's interest. I
think if they could add new functionality and behavior via some kind of downloadable software the toy would have
more stickability and last longer. But then it would probably be more expensive.
